Requirements
Create G-code programs for efficiently manufacturing parts using Edge-Cam software
Read and interpret blueprints and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, control settings, machining methods, and operational sequences
Must develop machining practices that increase safety and throughput, while reducing setup rates and non- conformances
Observes operation of machine during first article to prove instructions provided, for first run programs
Review new part machining requirements for manufacturability on existing equipment
Must be able to operate equipment when there are no programming requirements
Follows machining guidelines for part families and components
Responsible for recommending and maintaining tooling levels for the machine shop
Knowledge of program interpretation, setup, and operation of CNC lathes, Live tooling lathe, and 4-axis mills with Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls required
Knowledge of manufacturing Acme, Stub acme, and dual lead threads required
Experience with work planes or multiple CPL's required
Basic Trigonometry required
Understands G,D,&T and how it applies to programming
Knowledge of machining exotic materials such as 718 Aged Inconel, Peek, Titanium, etc.
Knowledge and experience using Inventor Part Modeler preferred
Knowledge and experience using Visual ERP system preferred
Microsoft Office required
Required education for this position:
High School Diploma; or GED and Vocational training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
