Entry Level Tool Maker Job (MAPLE GROVE, MN, 55369, US)

Do you have a 2 year degree in maufacturing or machining? Are you looking for an entry level tool making position? If so, this could be a great opportunity for you! This is a temp to hire opportunity, working 7a - 5:30p M-Th.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Set up and operate manually controlled machines
- Use precision tools, machinery and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, chops saw, band saw
- Fabricate and shape parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal
- Select, align, secure and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines
- Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment

Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- General knowledge of metals and the quality and machinability and uses of metals, alloys and other materials
- Experience with machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Experience moving or transferring products with an overhead crane
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
